2022-2023 LIHEAP Eligibility Information

The 2022-2023 Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is now open. This program provides grants that range from $500 to $1,500 based on household size, income, and fuel type. Remember: This is a grant and does not have to be repaid. The Department of Human Services may extend or shorten the program depending on the availability of federal funds.

WHEN ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?

After your application is reviewed, you will receive a written notice explaining your eligibility and the amount of assistance you will receive. Payments are generally sent directly to a utility company or fuel dealer and are credited to your account. Please allow 30 days for a response.
